Why I argued this topic.

For my argument essay, I decided to do it on ethanol and bio fuels because it is a topic I honestly believe in and agree with.  In the future, the use of bio fuels are going to be the center of discussion as fossil fuels and natural gases are limited resources and will not last forever.  There is a strong possibility in ethanol being the resource that helps conserve our fossil fuels and extend the life of our supplies.

                To me, it seems like a natural option to be taken very seriously.  The fact that not only NASCAR, but also the Indy Car Series, uses ethanol blended fuels with enormous success only supports the viability of this option.

                Of all the essays I attempted this semester, I found the argument essay to be the most difficult.  I found it tough to suppress the urge to omit any negative aspects of bio fuels and ethanol in the essay.  I believe strongly in this option as a reasonable solution.  So much that, remaining impartial and discussing any short comings of this technology is something I did not want to do, regardless of the fact that is required for a complete and sound argument.  In any future writings that I do in regards to arguments, I have to remain impartial and develop a neutral point of view in regards to the counter-argument.  Given enough time and practice, I am confident that I can improve.
