Why I value “Love is a Battlefield 3.”

             Even though I feel my essay “Thirteen states, six days” is my favorite of my essays, it also felt as if it were the best.  This review essay regarding the game Battlefield 3, sits an extremely close second.  And since one essay cannot be included twice, as favorite and best, the review became the natural choice.

            To understand why this essay is of value to me, you should be aware that I am a big fan of the Battlefield series.  I am also a fan of the original Medal of Honor series.  And yes, I own a few of the Call of Duty titles too.  All are great franchises and individual games but the ability to use vehicles has set the Battlefield franchise ahead in my opinion.  And Battlefield 3 is my favorite game.  So naturally, it seemed like the perfect item to review. 

            This was the most fun to write of all the essays I wrote, especially the research.  It had been close to a year since I had played the single player campaign and it was great to rediscover it all over again.  Not to mention the hundreds of hours I have played on-line over the past year led to a great understanding of the game as a whole.  I even got to use a recreational video I had made for my own amusement of my gameplay for this web-folio.  That is me flying the jet and driving the tank.  And for something that is being reviewed positively, enthusiasm can be a great way to express just how I feel.

            My enjoyment of the topic and the research led to a truly fun assignment and I feel it is expressed through my words.
